These were four enjoyable frames played in a good spirit with more of an emphasis on potting (well trying to) than safety. D Salmon defeated Rob Wallace in a close frame with a fluked blue proving crucial at the death. Dennis Peet played well to narrowly beat S Parkinson and T Irons got off to a flier against Des Oldham who could not recover. Dennis Peet and Rob Wallace took the pairs in another open frame with Rob Wallace perhaps benefitting from sharing Dennis Peets new(ish) cue.

At City Hosp 0-4

A comprehensive win for BCI at City Hospital. It was uphill for the home side from the point Clint knocked in an excellent 39 break in the opening frame. Paul went on to defeat Russ Kirk in the next before Steve Tring saw a 20 point lead disappear against Stuart who fought back well to win a tight frame.
