Guy won the 1st frame, which included a 52 break. Chris came back and easily won the 2nd. Guy won the next but both players had chances. In what turned out to be the final frame of the match, Guy got 20 in front. Chris then knocked in a 38 to take the advantage going into the colours. Chris needing yellow and green to leave Guy needing snookers, took his eye off a simple yellow, Guy potted upto the blue, needing all to win. A good safety battle ensued, with few chances for either player. Chris eventually left Guy a half chance, a tough long blue into the green pocket. Guy had extreme good fortune, seeing his effort jaw, then shoot straight across the top cushion into the other pocket. Then potted the pink, leaving a difficult black either into the middle or green pocket. With cueball on the cushion behind the black spot he decided to go for the straighter pot into the top pocket, a shot he struck very cleanly into the middle of the bag.
Unlucky Chris... You played well and didn't deserve to loose in such a way...
All the best in the future
