Congratulations to Tamas Vagvolgyi who defeated Mike Langdon 4-1 to become the 2014/15 Intermediate Handicap Snooker Champion.

It was a very competitive final in which Vagvolgyi took a 2-0 lead before Langdon pulled one back to make it 2-1.  Langdon did his best to level the match but a good finish in frame four saw Vagvolgyi extend his lead.

The final frame went right down to the black and a tense exchange in which both players pulled off some quality safety ultimately resulted in a good pot by Valgvolgyi that sealed the title.

A huge thanks to BCI for hosting the final.

Vagvolgyi has now sealed his place in the GCL Billiards Champions Cup, the winner of which will walk away with a cool 300.

Thank you very much for everyone who came to watch the final, it was an awesome feeling to see the last black disappearing in the corner pocket.

Big thank you goes out to Paul for organising the match, Steve for refereeing it and the BCI for hosting it.

Unlucky Mike, you played really high quality safeties throughout the whole match and put me under big pressure. It was very nice meeting you and I wish you all the best for your upcoming matches. Hopefully see you soon!

Yes well played Tamas, definitely the better player. Your long potting was superb all night and you scored much better than I when given the opportunity so a fully deserved title.

Looking forward to playing you in the Singles league next season.

Big thanks to Paul and Steve and to BCI for hosting the final.
