Match Report
Congratulations to The Towers A team who picked up the KO Cup tonight at Lenton Liberal Club in a superb final against BCI Super Elites.

Andy Diacopoulos made a 30 break in the opening frame against BCI's Jonathan Mason before the Notts Amateur Champion made a superb 74 clearance in the second to win his match 2-0.

On the other table Barry Stark was knocking in long pots and 20+ breaks for fun in a one sided opening frame and continued his form into the second making a 32 break in his two nil win over Dan Moll to level things up at 2-2.

The two Captains battled out a scrappy opener in their match with Tony Morgan knocking in some cracking long pots to help him put his team in the lead.

Perhaps the key moment in the match occurred on the other table where it looked like James Moore was about to draw BCI level once again only to see Towers youngster Connor Rollo make a 27 clearance to snatch the frame by 2 points and leave his team just one frame away from victory.

Cpt Kwok was doing his best to pull his team back into the match building up a healthy 20 something lead however a missed opportunity was pounced upon by Tony Morgan who compiled a quality match winning 40 clearance to seal the victory.

James Moore gained a consolation frame but it was Towers who landed the knock out blows at the right time and were deserving winners.

Both teams played the match in superb spirit and are a credit to Nottingham snooker.

A big thank-you to the superb Lenton Liberal Club for hosting us.

Big well done to all of The Towers players that have played for us in the Cup this summer. 👍. The K/O Cup certainly seems to a lucky competition for us. 2 entries & 2 wins (hopefully if we win it next year to make it 3 in a row they'll name it after us) lol. Commiserations to BCI Super Elites on a very good nights snooker. Some very good & vital clearances by the Towers lads. Massive thank you to Mr. Langdon for officiating & to Jamie & Dan for reffing the other match. Final thank you is to Lenton Liberal Club for holding the final. Certainly seems to be a good venue for us.😎🏆🏆👏👍
