Nottingham Grand Prix - Event 7 - This Sunday

Just a reminder that Event 7 will take place this Sunday at Pegasus Snooker Club. 10:15 - 11am Registration, £15 entry.

Chris Brooks beat Rick Worrall at event 6 to push himself back up the rankings and with only 3 events remaining after this Sunday we're getting to the business end of qualifying.  Remember only the top 16 ranked players qualify for the finals in November for the chance to win the big cash prizes so make sure you turn up this Sunday to top up your ranking.  See below:

Congratulations to Zeb Ahmed who won event 7 with a solid victory over Malc Belshaw, winning 3-0 in the final (receiving a +14 point head start from Belshaw).

Ahmed took away £60 with Belshaw taking away £30 and Lee Crombie and Wayne Martin both winning £10 as the losing semi finalists.

The semi finals were close affairs with Ahmed overcoming Crombie 2 nil and Belshaw scrapping past Martin by 2 frames to 1.

Many thanks to Steve Butler who ran the day - cheers matey, really appreciated.

A good turnout on the day of 12 meant that the group stages were used again with 3 groups of 4.
The winner and runner-up in each group progressing plus the two best 3rd places.

Highest Break of the day went to James Moore with a great run of 82, his victory of Sean Croft also produced a 50, 40 and two 30 plus breaks.
