HEADLINES

Ruddington CC confirmed as champions with a 4-1 win. BCI 'C' in second place can still be overtaken by Spot On Masters in a re-arranged match against Mapperley CC.

Division 2

Ruddington CC were confirmed as the divisions champions after a 4-1 win against Spot On Masters. Top of the ranking list for the division Nick Kirkman took the opening frame by 62-30 over Al Shaw. Steve Howard levelled the score with a 53-28 win over Maurice Huspeth. Dennis Dyer then put Ruddington CC 2-1 up with a 70-46 win against an out of form James Robinson. Dave Griffiths took the last frame by 68-43 over Paul Bell to complete the victory.
BCI 'C', who have completed their fixtures, are in runners-up spot, but can be overtaken by Spot On Masters who still have a fixture to complete. Before the matches started Mapperley CC were mathamatically still in with a chance of the runners-up spot, but went down dramatically 4-1 at BCI 'D'. Clint Broome hit a massive 109 points in a 109-30 win over Chris Wright in the opening frame. Not to be outdone Paul Bradley hit 91 points in a 91-28 win against Doug Bough to put BCI 'D' 2-0 up. It was soon 3-0 as Craig Bradley beat Geoff Merry 58-34 in the third frame. Andy Carnell pulled a frame back with a 39-22 win over Stuart Bradley. BCI 'D' have been lanquishing in bottom spot all season managed to pull themselves up a place with this win., and also because Sherwood SC 'B' beat their club rivals Sherwood SC 'D' by 4-1. Sherwood SC 'D' finishing in the wooden spoon position.
