Congratulations to City Hospital who picked up the 2nd division Cup after a tense deciding pairs frame.  City Hospital got off to a great start with Les Smith winning the opening frame against Colin Tutin before Jordan Parnham won on the black against Tej Lees to put his team two-up.  Jason Turner got Oakleigh Lodge back in the match with a good win over Dennis Peet but Rob Wallace put in a real captains performance against Brendan Murtagh to restore City Hospitals 2 frame advantage.  This meant that Oakleigh Lodge needed to win the final two singles frames to push the match into a deciding pairs frame.  Steven Roe played a perfect frame against Sean Croft with some great safety play backed up with solid scoring running out a comfortable winner to make it 3-2.  On the other table Oakleigh's Adam Robinson was also taking the bull by the horns firing in some spectacular winning pots which were enthusiastically cheered on by his Oakleigh team-mates who now perhaps sensed a shift in the momentum of the match.  The deciding frame paired Oakleigh's captain, Spider Wilkinson & Ryan Cooper against the less experienced Jordan Parnham & Sean Croft who received a 7 start.  The City Hospital pair proved a great combination with Parnham's solid matchplay and Croft's more adventurous attacking style pushing themselves towards victory with a healthy 30 odd point lead.  Cooper gave Oakleigh hope with a much needed 16 break before a couple of excellent pots from both City Hospital players put the frame and treble beyond Oakleigh Lodge.

Well played to both teams  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Congratulations to City Hospital on this win.  These two teams are probably the most improved teams this season and it's nice to see them both rewarded with some silverware.

:welldone:

Nice stats there too Mike!

App on the iphone... how does that work then?, sounds interesting.

Someone on my team said "just roll them over the bag" thats what I tried on the brown but I don't think I'll be doing that again

It was just a relief to see Sean (Waistcoat) pot the final pink though.

Rob Wallace

Those stats are great - I propose for the next meeting that all team captains be issued with I phones for the coming season to monitor performance!

Really enjoyed last night and thought we put in a very solid display when it mattered...under pressure.

Cheers Mike for giving up your time to supervise etc last night.
