Frame 1

Nick v Al

This frame started off with some very good safety from both players.  A chance or two for both players but only potting reds and not being able to get on a colour until Al potted a nice red followed by a good pink, eventually Al got himself a 17 point lead on Nick but only  to see that lead dwingle away dramatically as Nick got his potting shoes on and potted little breaks of 15 17 14. It was an awkward table to get any high breaks as the earlier safety play put several reds on the cushion behind the black spot. Nick then potted a long yellow with just the colours left then missed a double on the green which AL took very nicely but to leave himself a thin cut on the brown which he missed Nick then faced a similar shot and potted it and then the blue pink and black.  62  -  30

Frame 2

Maurice v Steve

This was a close frame for much of the way both players getting plenty of chances but not capitalising on them. Lots of safety play by both players, then an unforced error by Maurice gave Steve a chance to put the colours away but only able to pot green brown and blue but with only 12points in front needed the pink. A little bit more safety from both players, then Steve played a pink down the cushion leaving the white behind the black making it awkward for Maurice. Maurice hits the pink but leaves it for Steve to win the match by taking the remaining 13ponts.  28  -  53

Frame 3

Dennis v James

These too have met three times before this game in the league and the plate with dennis taking all three frames, so James was looking for some revenge. However the frame didn't got to plan Dennis played some very nice snooker potting some great balls and making one or two 16 point mini breaks to give himself a 40 point lead which he never relinquished throught the game until the colours. Dennis going in off giving james 4 points then  James getting another snooker from Dennis but the harder James tried the harder the game became and Dennis clearing to the blue for James to pot the pink and black to close the score a little.  70  -  42

Frame 4

Dave v Paul

This was a good game always close between these two but it was Paul who got off to a great start getting some really good pots in and getting himself ahead but at the half way point it was Daves safety play that got him back in the match and he started to score the points he needed to get himself back in front at just the right time towards the end of the frame.  Dave just needing on eor two colours to seal victory and completed it by potting the blue.  68  -  42
