Oakleigh Lodge Social Club continue to go from strength to strength and they only dropped one frame against Arnold Civil Defence B in winning the division 2 play-off final.

Arnold went a frame up thanks to Alan Cunningham's narrow victory over Ryan Cooper but this proved to be the only frame they would win.  Bo Murtagh and Jason Turner both won easily and Steve Roe maintained the pressure with a black ball victory over Stan Candler.  The final two frames also went down to the black but it was Oakleigh's Adam Robinson and Spider who came out on top to seal a rather flattering 5-1 scoreline.

Wow...Oakleigh Lodge must be a close 2nd to Super Elites for team of the year!!!  Thats the Plate and play-offs bagged and the Divisional cup final to come.  Could we be seeing a treble this season.  :welldone: :bravo: :welldone:

With 'The Lodge' taking full advantage of the new structure of our competitions, from now on at future league meetings when we try and push through changes and i hear the same old argument of "The league has run perfectly well for 30 years why change it when it's not broke"  My responce will be "nope it's not broke but it could be better, remember Oakleigh Lodge 2009/10!!!"

Well Done Oakleigh
