ball on top of cushion

so playing my dad the other day, he decided to try pot the pink, well needless to say he missed the pink cause it bounced out of the pocket rolled along the top of the cushion and stayed on top of the cushion.



needless to say i didnt have a clue what to do i obviously put the pink back on its spot, but i didnt know if it was a foul shot or not as the pink never realy left the table though it did leave the bed of the table. ?

yes, definately a foul. I did the same against lee crombie in our singles league. Hit the blue into corner bag, jumped out and stopped on top rail. Have to put back on spot and is a foul as its left the playing area.

Yes that's right.  It wouldn't have been a foul if it had come to rest on the bed of the table but as it came to rest off the bed of the table it is a 6 point foul.
