Malc Belshaw took a huge step towards claiming the 1st Division title with a hard fought away victory over Mike Langdon.  Belshaw started brightly taking full advantage with a 36 break to claim the first frame.  Langdon started to find the pockets in the 2nd frame and made a well constructed 24 break which consisted mainly of baulk colours to put himself ahead with only one left red.  Belshaw clawed himself back into this important frame and after a bout of safety on the pink Belshaw eventually took the initative and cut the pink well into the corner sending cue ball up and down the table leaving himself on the black to snatch the frame.  Belshaw's safety play was superb all night and was perhaps the difference in another close frame which Belshaw won to give himself the all important win.  The final frame was once again close but Langdon made a good 32 break to salvage a consolation frame to end the match at 3-1 which was probably just about right.

Well played Malc just one more victory in your last match and you should be playing the stars next season.  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:
