Wayne Martin

A really close match with Clint Broome receiving 21 points start from Martin.

Frame 1:
Broome under pressure from Martin's safety left a chance and Martin took it and made a break of 62 before missing a black with a century at his mercy. This left Broome needing snookers and too much to do. Martin eventually taking the frame following more mistakes from his opponent.

Frame 2:
Martin managed to get the handicap back in a short space of time and even managed to get 23 points in front.
Broome wasn't going to let this match get away from him and began fighting back with a breaks of 17 and 22 and pushed himself back in front. Martin levelled things up again and got the match down to the last colours.

A good safety battle ensued and the match went down to the final pink before a errant safety from Broome left the pink over the middle pocket for Martin to close out the match.

A great match Clint, you had some poor running and was unfortunate not to win the second frame.

Congratulations Wayne.  That sets up a mouthwatering best of 5 frame final against Neil Jones.  I'm looking forward to that!

I'll sort out the venue and date of the final after Easter.
