Cotgrave Welfare suffered a player shortage to rival that of division one Stadium Leisure on Tuesday night.  The influential Rob Paterson and Steve Evans were both absent and captain John Cyrek was forced to call upon an unknown from the bar in order to make up the numbers.

At Cotgrave things got off to a great start for the home side as Harry Briody beat Spider and Billy Johnson beat Bo Murtagh.  However the debutant "Willie" lost heavily 24-72 to the experienced Steve Roe.

At Oakleigh Lodge Jason Turner made a 37 break on the way to an easy win against Colin Armstrong which levelled the match at 2-2.  Oakleigh then went 3-2 up thanks to a good win by Ryan Cooper against Chris King.  Adam Robinson sealed the victory for Oakleigh with a good win against John Cyrek.  In the pairs frame Cyrek and Armstrong took on Tej Lees and Colin Tutin.  It was a close frame and John Cyrek was looking good as he potted the pink but he looked on in horror as the white went in-off.  Tutin then compounded Cyrek's misery as he fluked the pink to seal the frame and wrap up a 5-2 victory for Oakleigh Lodge.

Cheers for the report Steve, another good team performance by the lads from the lodge just a shame the league form produced a lot of draws instead of wins, looking forward to the final mate against a good City Hospital side.
