Division 2 Cup Semi Final between recently crowned Div 2 champions Nottingham University and City Hospital Leisure Centre

At City Hospital 1-2

Dennis Peet 38 Tom Barrett 46
Rob Wallace 23 Alex Smith 65
David Buckley 60 Ben McIntosh 27

Dennis tried hard but is still very rusty - yet pushed Barrett to the blue before losing to the away player. Wallace was well beaten by Alex Smith who out potted his opponent. Dave Buckley though rescued a frame for City with a largely comfortable win against an out of sorts Mcintosh.

At Univ

Dale Prime 13 Jordan Parnham 91
Kalpesh Mevada beat Les Smith
Robin Hicks 4 Sean Croft 89 (29 break)
Prime/Kalpesh 48 Parnham/Croft 79

Great win for Parnham against Prime who became very frustrated as his opponent dominated proceedings running out an easy winner even considering his generous 14 point handicap start. Les Smith lost to Kalpesh but City stormed back with Sean Croft demolishing University captain Robin Hicks including a well taken 29 break.
The pairs frame was all important and the city pairing of Parnham and Croft swept aside Prime and Kalpesh to put City in the final. Well played lads.  :bravo:
We took advantage of our handicap but played some great snooker and look forward to a final at last! :drink:
Bad luck University , once again we enjoyed playing you and well done in the league this season.

Yet another great NHSL story.  This time last year rooted to the bottom of the 2nd division and now a cup final to look forward to.

Sounded like Parnham and Croft were on fire...well played City Hospital  :bravo: :bravo: :bravo:

Right I'm off to put a tenner on Lenton winning something next season!

Well played city hospital!

I don't think the advantage of the handicap made much difference. Even starting off equal we still would have been easily beaten.
Hopefully next week we can get some revenge!

Good luck in the final :bravo:
