Bci C (21 point start) win the plate final with a very good victory over a tricky ruddington team.

In order of frames played.

Frame 1 saw maurice hudspeth taking on steve capsey snr, capsey the player getting off to the better start in a slow start from both players, capsey soon finding himself some 20 points in front a 26 break sometime later soon doubled his lead, as maurice was having no luck in the balls what so ever, he did however manage to pot pink and black to reduce his score. 26-75 bci + 70

Frame 3 den dyer v sean croft, this frame followed the same as the previous croft going some 20 points in front who then doubled his lead with 2 breaks of 14, dyer was very slow out the blocks but did manage to pull some points back towards the end. 27-67 bci + 110

Frame 2 was a much closer frame than the previous two between nick kirkman and shaun parkinson, kirkman getting the better start for ruddington who knew he had to pull some points back, himself going some 20 points in front only to see parkinson pull him back to within 2 points but going into the colours a foul proved costly for parkinson as he allowed kirkman to take some more much needed points. 76-43 bci + 77

Frame 4 This saw dave griffiths knowing he had to win by 78 points if he was to win the match for ruddington but stood in his way was steve capsey jnr, capsey doing the right thing in leaving the table scrappy and playing some good safty in leaving griffiths nothing much to go at. Griffiths mid way through the frame knew he was never going to win the match for his team but concentrated on just winning his frame instead doing so winning by 61-43 bci +59.

Well played to both teams for a good final and a huge thank you to myself who had to ref the match Bravo Bravo

Also thanks to Top Spot for the use of one of there tables Bravo Bravo

cheers for the kind words sean, did it realy come across that i was that bored blush.

Guess it was due to the fact that i would rather have been in your shoes and playing rather than stood there watching lol.

i will echo kwoks comment though, was a great win for BCI C as ruddington are by know means a easy team to beat (my lot should know that). You and capsey snr played very well in your frames and you especially potted some cracking balls.  Bravo Bravo

Thanks James for reffing the plate final:

Bci C were the worthy champions on the night getting off to a cracking start and was always an uphill task for myself and Dave to try and bring it back but really enjoyed it. No excuses on our side we just had a terrible start and got going far too late.

I thought Sean played a great  game against Dennis some really good long potting and really deserved  his win, even though Steve snr got you off to a good start with 49 lead plus 21 handicap it still needed another player too carry on and get yourselves further ahead and Sean did just that exactly at the right time so well played a good team effort by all of you.
