HEADLINES
BCI 'E'lites go into a 11 point lead after a massive 5-0 home win. Top Spot stay second, but are closely followed by Sherwood SC 'A' in third place.

Division 1
BCI 'E'lites stay well ahead in the race for the title after a 5-0 demolition job on Spot On (Sneinton) who remain in the second relegation place. A magnificent 70 break saw James Moore take the first frame 115-22 over Rob "Pud" Stansfield. Another 100 score by Jason Bettridge was enough to beat Ant Gilman 100-12 in the second frame. Jon "8 pints" Mason won the next frame by 70-40 to put BCi 'E'lites 3-0 up. It was Captain Kwok Yip that won the last frame and completed the rout, including a 24 break, by beating Mick McMillan by 58-29.
Top Spot went away to Carlton LC and came away with a 4-1 win. Mick Walker, playing on his favourite table, won the opener against Danny DiFolco by 76-32. A majestic 34 clearance saw Bob Walker pull it back to 1-1 with a 70-29 win over Dave Milner. Chris Needham was potting well in his frame against Andy Ball. Both players having 22 breaks in this frame. Unluckily Ball's came at the end of the frame with Needham taking the frame 56-37. A titanic battle between Bob Wright and Steve Needham saw the latter winning the frame 58-56 and having a run of 22 in early part of the the match. Carlton LC staying in sixth place.
In another whitewash match Sherwood SC 'A' ran out 5-0 winners at home to seventh placed BCI 'B'. A 40 break helped Lee Crombie, the only remaining player in the league with a 100% record,  win the first frame by 90-30 over Neil Elliott. Wayne Bilbie took the second frame 89-38 against Toby Irons. A back in form Ant Scarborough won the third frame 62-26 over Mick Salmon. Brendon Murtagh had a 38 break in a 77-7 massacre of Ian Dawson to complete the win.
Fourth placed Spot On (Hucknall) went away to SE Derbyshire SC and won 4-1. SE Derbyshire remain in the bottom relegation place. Fifth placed City Hospital LC were without a match this week.
