Last seasons cup winners are through to this years final to be played on 8 March. Venue to be decided.
Carlton LC go through to another K/O cup final after an impressive win over division 2 side Sherwood SC 'B'.

Frames in order of play.

Frame 1 Danny DiFolco 68 Manny Sant 60  

Some impressive play from both players kept Sherwood SC 'B's hopes alive in the opening encounter. Sant started the frame with a super 29 break to put Sherwood further ahead, with their 49 start, but Di Folco soon pulled that back with a 21 and a 16 break. The frame ebbed and flowed between the players and it was DiFolco who ended up the victor by 8 points.
Carlton LC 68 Sherwood SC 'B' 109 with handicap.

Frame 3 Steve Butler 81 J.Hutchins 23
A good start from super-sub Butler saw him edging away from his opponent. Hutchins couldn't do a lot against a determined Butler. Butler kept the score ticking over and was too good an opponent for Hutchins. Hutchins put a few point on the board from the colours, but it was always going to be Butler that won the frame.
Carlton LC 149 Sherwood SC 'B 132 with handicap

Frame 2 Bob Walker 75 Rob Scarborough 7
A massive win for Walker in a very one sided frame . Walker knowing that he needed the points. I didn't see much of the action in this frame as i was playing my own at the time.
Carlton LC 224 Sherwood SC 'B' 139  with handicap

Frame 4 Bob Wright 54 D.Byrne 44
A frame that Wright knew he had to keep tight, and a lot of super safety play at the start kept it that way. Wright then started potting for the fun of it and a good 20 break pulled him well ahead in the frame. Byrne wasn't having much of the play and it was Wright who was putting the points on the board with some good centre pocket scoring. At the colours stage the Sherwood team said to call it a day as Carlton were too far ahead to make a diffeerence.  They did play on till the pink and black were left, to which Wright conceeded them to his opponent
