A very tough match between two very capable pairs, the Oakleigh Lodge pair receiving 14 points start per frame.

Frame 1:
Langdon getting the 14 point deficit back straight away and doing a great job of keeping the dangerous Turner at bay.
The Pegasus pair eventually sealing this frame quite comfortably at the colours stage.

Frame 2:
The match started to open up a little with Langdon again making a solid 17 break to get the teams back on even terms.
Turner then had a golden opportunity to put some space between the pairs but broke down on a simple pink to the middle on 11.
This left Martin in the balls and he made little mistake with a solid contribution of 44, missing a double on the final red.

The Oakleigh pair still had an opportunity to win and Rowe began making headway into this but Langdon stepped in with a quality 5 clearance to take the frame and match against a very good pairing.

Unlucky lads, we had some good fortune and you had several bad kicks.

Well played mate!!! Was a really well taken and timely 44 break ...Think it was my threat of dumping you for The Force after you missed that dolly of a blue over the pocket that spurred you on  .

Thought we played pretty solid snooker overall in what looked like a tricky tie.  Bring on the next round!!!

Cheers Mike - just to make sure I have booked you six lessons with The Force - you can start them whenever you like
Just make sre you take them before we play again!!!!

Well played mate - tricky tie - both of those guys can play - your clearance at the end was really good and you got us off to a good start in both frames by clawing back the handicap straight away.

Maybe last years champs are getting nervous   ;)
