Handicap Pairs: Hearson-Ellis/Butler 2-0 Yip/Mason

Yet again the defending champions were victorious thanks hugely to some amazing luck.  Hearson-Ellis/Butler were receiving 14 points start which was slightly generous considering Mason was absolutely sober.

In the first frame, Mason gave away 15 points in fouls.  Nevertheless, the Stadium pair struggled to press home their advantage and only won it on the pink.

In the second frame Yip was very unlucky as a red hit the black causing it to enter the pocket.  Yip also had a great chance of a decent break but he missed a relatively simple blue to the middle leaving Butler with a good opportunity.  A modest 14 break followed for Butler which left the BCI pair trailing by around 40 points.  Hearson-Ellis finished strongly to take the frame and match 2-0.

Hard luck Kwok & Jonathon.  You were very unlucky!
