Pegasus A got the new season off to a great start with a comprehensive victory over the newly promoted BCI Braves.

At Pegasus:
Wayne Martin v Shaun Parkinson
Martin making a great start on his Pegasus debut by making a 54 break during his comfortable victory over the fast improving Shaun Parkinson. Running out of position with a very high break available.

James Booth v Dave Salmon
A close contest with nothing between the two players until the latter part of the frame. Salmon making some mistakes late on to allow Booth to take the frame on the colours.

Steve Booth v Toby Irons
A tightly contested frame with some excellent potting from both players, none being able to take control until the colours. It was Irons who made the breakthrough late on (from the yellow), just putting the frame out of reach from Steve "The Force" Booth.

Wayne Martin/James Booth v Shaun Parkinson/Dave Salmon
A mouth watering pairs frame with Booth making a great 26 break in giving Pegasus the advantage. The Braves then struck back with some solid match play to even things up. Booth laying a terrific snooker on the colours and Wayne Martin clearing the table from the free ball for Pegasus to take the home leg 3-1.

At BCI:
The trio of Nav Hussain, Zeb Ahmed and Danny Castel-Nuovo took complete control of the away leg for Pegasus and coming away with a comfortable 4-0 victory. The pick of the matches being the 37 bresak made by the ever dangerous Hussain in his singles victory.

Clint Broome v Danny Castel-Nuovo
Paul Bradley v Zeb Ahmed
Chris Bradley v Nav Hussain (37 Break)
Clint/Paul v Naz/Danny

Nice break wayne, this will be a very good season for Pegasus A i believe, a very solid and strong side. The away leg was straight forward, with no problems encountered during the 4-0 win. Zeb Ahmed did struggle, but that did not stop him taking the frame on the black ball. nav Hussain making a break of 37 during his win and also Danny with a 27. Bring on the NEXT MATCH !!! :))

Toby - can you please let me know or update the forum with the guys who played at home for you?

Just for the averages mate :-) and I think you were right - the double was maybe the better play, I just wanted those last three reds open to continue the break.

Cheers,

Well played guys.....dream start.  Nice break Wayne and thanks for the report....you've just bagged yourself a new job....is that OK?

As a former 1st team away legger......Very well done to the boys on a 4-0 win which is never easy.  Looks like i'm gonna have to cut and paste all those 'woeful away performance', 'the missfiring away leg' etc from last seasons reports and use them for the new B-team  :exclamation:

Cheers

I see rule B. 19 is working well then:

Final results of matches to be submitted no later than 48 hours after completion, to the league Secretary or via league website. All team captains must submit their team's result.  It is not just the responsibility of the winning team's captain.  A result must include the names of all players from both teams and the result of each frame.  Results of Knockout Cup and Knockout Plate matches must include the final aggregate points tallies of both teams.
