EASB TOURNAMENTS 2009/10
Why not enter one of the EASB's tournaments this season and find out how good you really are?

SAVE MONEY
If you enter through the Nazareth House Snooker League there's no need to pay the EASB membership fee of £25.

HOW TO ENTER
Email NHSL Secretary Steve Butler at steve@nhsl.net to confirm which tournaments you want to enter and then make sure the relevant entry fees are with him one week prior to the closing date.  He will do the rest!

ENGLISH AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 20 DECEMBER 2009, LAST 32 1-2 MAY 2010
VENUES: TBA

This Championship will be played on a Knockout basis, with regional qualifiers being played at up to eight venues (depending on number of entries) and will be played over the best of seven frames. Sixteen players will go through to each of the North and South final qualifiers. The semi-finals (ie the North and South finals matches) will be played over the best of eleven frames, and the final over the best of seventeen frames. This event will act as a Double Ranking Point event towards the Pro-Ticket rankings.

NORTH/SOUTH DEFINITION: The geographical areas applied by the EASB accord with those regions established by Sport England, and for the purposes of a North/South divide, the following apply: NORTH comprises - North West/ North East/ Yorkshire/East Midlands. SOUTH comprises - West Midlands/ East/South East/London/South West.

Closing Date: 16th November 2009
Standard entry fee: £60 (£35 + £25)

ENGLISH CLUB PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES: TBA
VENUES: TBA

This championship will be open to all players aged 18 or over, except that any player with EASB "elite" membership is not eligible to enter. Any player who wishes to upgrade their membership to "elite" after entering this event, can only do so once they are eliminated or they must withdraw from this championship.

All entries must be endorsed by a club with playing facilities, and matches will be played as drawn on a home or away basis, over the best of seven frames. Matches will be drawn on a regional basis until the last 16 stage, when all remaining players will compete at a central venue to find the two finalists. The final will be played over the best of nine frames.

Closing Date: 23rd November 2009
Standard entry fee: £40 (£15 + £25)
Our entry fee: £18

ENGLISH SENIORS CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged over 40)
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 6 FEBRUARY 2010, LAST 16 28 MARCH 2010
VENUES: TBA

The early rounds will normally be played on a round robin basis, at a central or regional venues. Games will be best of five frames. The last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals will be played over the best of seven frames, and the final over the best of nine frames.

Closing Date: 21st December 2009
Standard entry fee: £40 (£15 + £25)
Our entry fee: £18

ENGLISH TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 30 JANUARY 2010, LAST 16 11 APRIL 2010
VENUES: TBA FOR RQ'S, NORTHERN SNOOKER CENTRE FOR L16

This event will be open to teams of three players from a squad of four, who are either members of the Association, and live in the same county, or are members of the same affiliated club or league.

Closing Date: 14th December 2009
Standard entry fee: £40 per player (£15 + £25)
Our entry fee: £15 per player (£45 per team)

ENGLISH UNDER 19'S CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 19)
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 31 JANUARY 2010, LAST 16 18 APRIL 2010
VENUES: TBA FOR RQ'S, NORTHERN SNOOKER CENTRE FOR L16

This championship will be played on a knockout basis. Regional qualifiers will be played over the best of seven frames, with sixteen players qualifying to the final stages. The last 16 and quarter finals will be played over the best of seven frames, semi-finals best of nine and final over the best of fifteen frames.

Closing Date: 21st December, 2009
Standard entry fee: £50 (£25 + £25)
Our entry fee: £27

ENGLISH UNDER 16'S CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 16)
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 29 NOVEMBER 2009, LAST 16 17 APRIL 2010
VENUES: TBA FOR RQ'S, NORTHERN SNOOKER CENTRE FOR L16

Regional qualifiers will be played on a round robin basis (best of five frames), with sixteen players going through to the final qualifiers.  The last 16 onwards will be played on a knockout basis, with last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals best of seven and the final over the best of eleven frames.

Closing Date: 19th October, 2009
Standard entry fee: £45 (£20 + £25)
Our entry fee: £22.50

ENGLISH UNDER 14's CHAMPIONSHIP
(Open to players aged under 14)
DATES: REGIONAL QUALIFIERS 28 NOVEMBER 2009, LAST 16 4 APRIL 2010
VENUES: TBA FOR RQ'S, NORTHERN SNOOKER CENTRE FOR L16

Regional qualifiers will be played on a round robin basis (three frames per match), with sixteen players going through to the final qualifiers. The last 16 onwards will be played on a knockout basis, with last 16, quarter finals and semi-finals best of seven and the final over the best of nine frames.

I will need to collect entry fees from players wishing to enter the Club Players Championship and the English Amateur Championship within the next week.  If you wish to enter either of these competitions and you are not on the list below, please contact me asap.

hi steve can you put my name down please for english amateur, club championship and senior as i now qualify for this one for being an old bugger, not sure but would chris winter, wayne and lee be interested in the team championship to, might be a thought.

Just to confirm I have received full payment from Gary Spencer, Malc Belshaw and Chris Winter.

I just need to collect £54 each from Lee Crombie & Wayne Martin, which I'll sort out in the next week.

Any one else out there who wants to enter any of these tournaments, please let me know asap!
